Davoncie Granderson

Davoncie Granderson is new arrival to the tri-state area; he, his wife and three children (two girls & 1 boy) landed in the driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin this past August. Davoncie does well to keep himself busy to find meaningful ways to connect health, wellness and the community. After graduating from Northern Illinois University (2016 - B.S. Kinesiology w/ Coaching & Psychology Minors & 2018 - M.S.Ed Exercise Physiology w/ Certificate of Study in Sports Management), he hit the ground running in order to improve the lives of as many in the community as possible. As an original hire for the fitness department of Northwestern Medicine’s Kishwaukee Health & Wellness Center in Dekalb, IL, he made his way from trainer and group exercise instructor to Fitness Manager & Medical Integration Coordinator in which he served as the liaison for the Fitness department on the Medical Advisory Committee for Kish Hospital. He took an overload so that he may work full-time hours in administration while continuing to provide the best High Intensity Interval Training classes in the area to the people. He coached as Head Coach for both Genoa-Kingston High School’s Boy’s Track & Field and Cross Country programs as well as Assistant Coach for their middle school Wrestling team. He now lectures at the University of Wisconsin - Platteville in the HHP Department where he teaches anatomy, biomechanics, research and worksite health promotion courses. When not on campus or chasing his children around the house, he is at Impact Fitness overseeing an older adult exercise program that focuses on strength and cardio via his personal business, Lift Your Life, LLC.

His hobbies include dancing, playing tabletop board games & video-gaming, but his passion is movement and assisting others in regaining autonomy & reaching their goals through strength training. Health is an aspect that is not simply catered to in one-dimension & Davoncie loves that CCHC approaches community health with a multifaceted holistic lens. Davoncie joined the board early 2026 and cannot wait to play a part in the bigger picture for Dubuque, IA and its people.
