DUBUQUE, IA, October 11, 2018 – Julie Woodyard, Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Community Health Center since 2008, will retire from the health center effective October 18, 2018.  Brooke Gomez, Chief Operating Officer, will serve as interim CEO as the board of directors conducts a search for a new CEO.

“Serving Crescent and the community over the past ten years has been an honor,” said Julie Woodyard, CEO. “I am proud of my time at Crescent and the strides the health center has made from receiving quality awards to growing to serving over 6,400 patients each year. I would like to thank each of our nearly 70 employees, our community partners and donors, and the board of directors for their support and ongoing commitment to helping patients receive quality healthcare.  The time is right for me personally, and for Crescent, to transition to the next generation of leadership.  Crescent is well positioned for future success with a strong team, solid foundation, and infinite possibilities for growth in many directions.”

"On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to thank Julie for her leadership and contributions to Crescent,” says Mary Rose Corrigan, Crescent Community Health Center Board Chair.  "Under her leadership, Crescent has been able to expand services to meet the vital and ever-increasing need for access to healthcare in our community.  The staff and board of directors look forward to a seamless transition and exciting future."

Since then, Crescent has been providing high-quality primary and preventive medical and dental care to members of the community.
